Max was so excited that it was HIS birthday. He kept singing, "Happy, happy, happy, happy!" and jumping around the room. He continued singing and clapping after the cake was brought out and insisted that I keep lighting the candles so he can blow them out over and over. He sang his "Happy Birthday" song for days afterward.
I'm just glad I was able to take some pictures because my mom let me borrow hers for a few weeks after our camera died on Christmas Eve. And, last year on Max's FIRST BIRTHDAY I forgot my camera when we celebrated at my mom's house, so my sister took pictures which she burned on a CD for me, and then the CD disappeared! Yep, no pictures of his first birthday. Bummer.
Happy number two Maxwell!!! We love you!!!

Max blowing out his two candles. I can't believe he's two already!

After he blew out the candles on the entire cake, then he wanted to blow them out on his individual piece. He's so satisfied here.

Looking sweet as can be with a wad of brownie in his mouth.

Max blowing out one of his candles for the fifteenth time. ha!

Who doesn't love to lick the frosting off of the candles??? It's one of his favorite things to do!

Max kept asking me to relight the candles over and over, and his piece of brownie kept getting smaller and smaller because every time he blew out the candle he'd eat a piece of brownie. This is the last little bit.
SOooo cute! I love it! The picture of him licking the candle is classic! So adorable. I love the one of you laughing with him also!!
